Dietmar Rübel is professor for art history and theory at the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden. He has studied art history, political theory, literature and film studies in Hamburg and Zurich, and was lecturer at Universities of Hamburg and Marburg as well as guest-curator among others at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Academy of Arts in Berlin, and the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art in Vienna. He is editor of We Petty Bourgeois! Comrades and Contemporaries.
